Hi Bunchers. Dave here.
I'm so humbled and honored that you've made your way here.
I have had the most beautiful, adventurous, colorful, dynamic, spontaneous, sweet life that any human would be proud and reflective of. I was once told by my father's stern baritone voice that, " Life is not a game. It's serious fukkin' business."
My Dad was a huge part in the formation of my life but it was my Mom who encouraged freethinking, impulsiveness and inspired me to breeze through each day instead of forcing it. It really took until now for me to fully understand what that meant.
I’m Dave Wilson, from Ottawa, Canada and I currently live in Nashville, Tennessee. You probably recognize me from television’s Masters of Flip and Making It Home. If you’re a true OG, then maybe from Meet the Wilsons during my musical origin years. It’s been a ride to say the least. A rollercoaster if you will. For the last few years of my dynamic and wonderful life, I have zoomed out, seen the bigger picture, and have found myself again. I found it by dancing with death, and trust me - I had a very broken shoe and no timing. With the help of a few angel-like friends. I was saved from a very sad ending to a once beautiful country song. My life on paper might have seemed perfect. Spoiler alert - it wasn't, and it still ain't!
It took some great yoga retreats, long chats with myself, close friends and my pugs to look around and realize maybe what I was searching for was right here all along. The Bad Yogi Bunch was born organically; I needed a cool band name but in the end it made perfect sense. Sam, Angee, Gordon, and “Harlowe” (Gordon’s alter-ego) are my “bunch” and ride-or-die besties. They have brought so much laughter and purpose into my life and now this project. Every day with them is a variety show of sorts and we plan on bringing that content to you. It’s our hope that you find joy and a laugh in the daily hot mess we have become.
Through music, content and a forthcoming podcast that is set to launch later in 2025, I’ve never been more excited to share life, stories, and songs alongside you all. My hope is that my story, friends and precious pugs bring you endless laughs and hope. There’s room for all of us and that’s what the Bad Yogi Bunch is about.
Thank you for welcoming me back to life. We’ve only just begun.
-Dave and the Bad Yogi Bunch
